Body Composition Assesment
Provided in partnership with The Endurance Coach Training Systems
What is Body Composition?
Body composition simply refers to the content of our bodies, in reference to body mass, fat mass, fat-free mass and body fat (%). This allows us to understand where improvements could be made or provide an accurate snapshot of your current anthropometrics prior to undergoing any training, diet or intervention. This is especially important when measuring the effectiveness of an intervention as unlike body mass, which may fluctuate daily, our fat-free mass and body fat (%) is only likely to vary due to true physiological change
What are the test procedures?
Upon arrival, we will ascertain your reasons for the test, and gain a general idea of your future goals. Following this, we will measure your height (cm) using a Stadiometer, body mass (kg) and body fat (%) using an Omron clinically validated bio-impedance analyser. To ascertain true body composition we will then follow this up with a manual Skinfold Caliper assessment to ensure consistent readings.
*Please note the bio-impedance analyser will pass a small electrical current via electrodes, please warn us if you have any medical issues (pacemaker etc.) which may interfere with this.
How much is a test and how do I book?
The full cost for the Body Composition Assessment test is £60, the session will last approximately 45 mins to 1-hour. During that time, we’ll briefly discuss your results and then provide your report & summary via email, unlike others we actively promote people to raise questions and keep in touch!
